LEND - Switzerlend AG

The lend online platform connects investors directly with borrowers, rendering banks unnecessary. The platform charges a fee to manage the loans that is not based on the absolute interest rate level. The cost savings are passed on to investors and borrowers in the form of better interest rates. UZH Startup Switzerlend AG, which operates the platforms lend.ch – for SMEs and personal loans – and splendit.ch – for education loans – was founded in 2015 by UZH alumni Florian Kübler and Michel Lalive. It has already processed loans totaling 50 million Swiss francs and has more than 18,000 users.
