Melanie Kovacs

Melanie is an entrepreneur and founder of Master21 Academy, which fosters coding literacy and teaches professionals to "speak tech". As a business coach she now supports entrepreneurial shapers to find purpose, profit and joy. She also runs the podcast The Joypreneur. Melanie serves a judge at the Swiss Economic Award.

She holds a degree in Business Administration and is trained in Human Computer Interaction as well as Leadership.

Entrepreneurial experience

Melanie’s startup journey started in a university incubator, in which she got the chance to pursue her first startup idea with a friend. After 6 months, she gave up that project but was hooked to keep working on entrepreneurial projects and with her contacts from the startup scene. She has been driving several initiatives to foster more female entrepreneurial leaders. It was in her work at a user experience agency that she got the idea for a coding school for beginners. Over three years she built the Master21 Academy to a team of five. In late 2019 she sold the company and started her fulltime journey as a coach for purpose-driven entrepreneurs.
