2021 marks the year with the most companies ever founded in Switzerland and the trend keeps on pointing upwards in 2022. The question is: are you ready to start your company too?
Why join this course?
The course includes knowledge and experience exchange with experienced startup coaches with two personalized coaching sessions, access to the Swiss startup ecosystem and lots of useful tools for an entrepreneur!
After the course, you will have

- an IP strategy, financial overview & ideas on how to finance your startup
- knowledge about team performance & pitching skills
- a professional business concept poster of your startup idea
Bring your own idea or join a team
Together with a team, you will work on a startup idea and develop it further during the 12 week course. At the beginning of the course, participants votes and experts assessment will support the decision of which ideas to work on At the end of the course, each team will have a strong business concept in the hand. At the final presentation, the concepts are presented to an expert jury.
Target group & Admission
The Course is open to Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral students of the University of Zurich. Participants from other universities may also join the course, but are not eligible for the ECTS Credits.
Admission to the Business Concept Course is based on an application in which participants outline their motivation and business idea. You may join also without an idea. Preference is given to participants with a science-based business idea. A maximum of 25 participants per course will be admitted.
This course is an offered within the School for Transdisciplinary studies (STS) and is accredited with 3 ECTS. Learn more on the STS Website.
