Mission Statement

The UZH Innovation Hub is a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Zurich.

It serves as a central repository for knowledge and skills at the university, connects students and researchers with the innovation ecosystem nationally and internationally and helps to turn research results into marketable products and transform innovative ideas into reality by founding startups.

As a catalyst, the UZH Innovation Hub accelerates the development of new inventions and ideas and strengthens the transfer of innovative research and teaching to the economy and society.

The UZH Innovation Hub strengthens the University of Zurich in its mandate:

• to develop inventions that are socially relevant and have the highest academic quality,
• to train future managers for roles in academia, the business and industry and to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in them,
• to strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation,
• to promote dialogue among innovation stakeholders nationally and internationally,
• to accelerate the transformation of innovative ideas into marketable products, services and applications,
• to promote interaction with the public.
