In the Department of Biochemistry group led by Prof. Andreas Plückthun, Patrick Forrer and his team are laying the foundation for Molecular Partners. Plückthun’s team developed designed ankyrin repeat proteins (DARPins). DARPins are artificial proteins that capable of identifying and binding antigens. The company was founded in 2004. The UZH Spin-Off has been listed on the Swiss SIX stock exchange since 2014.
